ChatGPT image generation now uses **GPT Image 1.5**, replacing DALL-E 3 (March 2025). Available on **all plans including free** with tiered limits. The DALL-E 3 API is **deprecated May 12, 2026**—developers should migrate to `gpt-image-1` or `gpt-image-1-mini`.
