Artifacts are Claude's way of creating standalone content—a design, a deck, a document, a dashboard, a small interactive tool—in a separate panel. **Available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise**, and in Claude Code on any plan that includes it. Paid plans also get beta templates—**Claude Design, Claude Slides, and Claude Docs**—for polished, shareable output; on Enterprise these are off until an owner turns them on. Artifacts made before September 16, 2026 are 'legacy' artifacts and keep working, but new ones use the current experience.

A **Chrome extension** adds browser automation (reading console/DOM, testing, form-filling) to coding tasks on any paid plan.
